Ford Fiesta Panel Van in the works?

Okey dokey – the new Ford Fiesta is a stunner looks wise & drives very well, but is it time for Ford to enter a often left-for-dead small-commercial van class? Well the Ford exec’s are saying yes! At the 2008 International Paris Motor Show, Ford may unveil a Fiesta Panel Van concept – or maybe even a production ready version!

The passenger compartment is separated from the cargo by a bulkhead and the latter can hold 1,000 litres, which quadruples the storage space of the 5-seater car. As long as buyers aren’t hauling lead, they should be all right – the car is supposed to get (diesel obviously) motors ranging from 45 to 70 kilowatts. We’ll bring more details and pics from the Paris show, as all we know right now is that the Ford Feista Panel Van will start at €11,070 in Germany (~ $20,000 AUD).
