Leaked! 2011 Mustang GT to get 5.0 litre Coyote V8… With 412 ponies!!!

It has come to our attention via a very impatient Facebook member that the confirmed 5.0 litre ‘Coyote’ V8 to feature in the 2011 Ford Mustang (among other Ford products) will have 412 horsepower. That equates to 307 mighty kilowatts – all from a considerably small V8!

Ford freshens up MY2011 Galaxy & S-Max…

Ford has unveiled an updated model of its popular European Galaxy & S-Max people movers. This mid life rejuvenation sees the first application of Ford’s 4 cylinder EcoBoost, as well as Ford’s new ‘PowerShift’ Dual Clutch Transmission, and a host of interior & exterior improvements. Unveiled: 2010 Ford Fiesta S2000…

Ford Motor Company and noted rally masters M-Sport have pulled the veil off their latest collaborative rally machine, the Fiesta S2000. It’s their first global rally car, and as such will be able to compete in a whole bevy of international competitions ranging from IRC to the S2000 World Cup to Aatos and Aamu’s Finnish Tree Bash. Long story short, going by past history alone, this should be one bruiser of a successful rally car.

How’s this for an odd twist – Ford essentially kicked off the SUV craze with its Explorer, an embiggened four-door Ranger. And man, did we go crazy. Before the cheap-gas bubble burst, slightly more than half of all passenger vehicles sold here in America were SUVs. Just below the Explorer was and is Ford’s little truck (which is no longer little) the Escape.

Ford announces 2.0L, 4cyl EcoBoost + 6spd PowerShift DCT for 2010…

I just had a very long day at work, so I don’t feel like typing out a mile long essay on the latest in Ford news today. So, to make it easier, here is the article from Autoblog.com…

As reported earlier, Ford used its 2010 model year preview in Dearborn, Michigan to announce the next stage of the company’s EcoBoost strategy for North America. The new 2.0 litre EcoBoost four-cylinder will arrive in 2010, and along with the new engine, Ford will also debut its Powershift six-speed dual clutch gearbox next year.
