2011 Ford Territory Fully Revealed…

December 19, 2010

CarAdvice.com.au have obtained some spy shots that virtually reveal the whole exterior of the new Ford Territory which goes on sale in Australia and New Zealand next year. With a new corporate face and refreshed sides and rear, the new Territory should easily pass off as a new car to the general buyer. No interior shots were taken (or just aren’t posted yet), but after the jump CarAdvice.com.au’s resident stylist has done some very exciting looking CGI’s.

Again, there are to be two engine choices for the new Territory, both mated to a ZF-sourced 6 speed automatic transmission in both rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive drivetrain applications. The current 4L inline 6 cylinder shared with the Falcon and a new 2.7L V6 turbo diesel sourced from Land Rover – as seen in the Discovery3, which is somewhat heavier than the Territory, suggesting that very impressive performance AND economy should come from the new diesel variant.

As touted by CarAdvice, new technology features, such as bi-xenon headlights, voice control for the audio and an upgraded hill-descent-control are set for the Territory, with rumours surrounding Ford’s MyFord system being integrated into the next generation Territory and Ford Falcon FGII, which is also set for a mild makeover in 2011 with the addition of EcoBoost and EcoLPi.

Either way, I personally think the new Territory will be quite a ride!

Stay tuned for more news as it comes to hand…
