AIMS 2011: Ford Falcon EcoLPI Is Go…

Ford believes that the lack of a LPG-dedicated model (E-Gas) for the Falcon range for the whole of this year is one main factor towards the dwindling sales numbers of it’s large sedan. But Ford is back in the LPG game, and they’re in big time – introducing the new EcoLPI Falcon.

2010 Ford Falcon Ute Score 5 Out Of 5 For ANCAP…

On release in 2008, the Ford ‘FG’ Falcon sedan managed to score an Aussie first – 5 stars out of 5 in the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) tests, making it the first Australian built vehicle to achieve this safety rating. But on the down side, the ute version only made 4 stars due to a lack of standard safety features (like ESC, which was optional). But, come 2010 and the model range’s first ‘refresh’ and the ute has finally scored 5 out of 5 in ANCAP tests.

FG Falcon now with added goodies…

Thanks to The Motor Report:

Ford Australia has announced that from September production, the FG Falcon XT will be fitted with 16-inch alloy wheels as standard equipment.

The new 16-inch alloy wheels replace the 16-inch steel wheels with full wheel covers fitted to the FG Falcon XT previously.

FG Falcon – Safest Aussie-built car…

It is 100% official! Ford Australia’s new-for-2008 FG Falcon is the first ever Aussie built car to score 5 stars in the ANCAP (Australasian New Car Assessment Program) crash tests. This nudges the Toyota Aurion off the top of the podium, puts it second & moves the VE Holden Commodore into third. For the official press release, follow though…
