Ford has taken the covers off it’s new hot-hatch, the Ford Focus ST. This time around, though, it is the full production version, so this is what you will see in your nearest Ford showroom when it goes on sale in 2012.

The new Focus has already been unveiled to the general public at both the Detroit and Geneva International Auto Shows, and from what we have seen, this is going to be a REAL contender in the small car segment. It doesn’t go on sale until 2011 in the U.S. and Europe, but it’s not until 2012 that it migrates here to Australia. Major sad face! Back when Ford announced that at least 10 vehicles will make use of Ford’s new C-segment platform, we all got thinking of what possible models there will be. Well, to stop 50% of the guessing, there are now 5 confirmed cars: the 2012 Focus hatch and sedan, C-Max and Grand C-Max and now, the new Focus Estate… or wagon depending where you come from.
