Detroit 2011: Ford C-Max Gets Shocking New Models…

Ford will unveil two new models based on the new global C-Max in Detroit at the North American International Auto Show this month. The new Ford C-Max Hybrid and range-extended plug-in hybrid Energi C-Max will take centre stage next to a new concept vehicle in the next week.

Ford Bringing Stop-Start to the Masses…

Ford have issued a press release announcing that by 2012 Ford’s ‘Auto Stop-Start’ technology (that automatically shuts down the engine from idle and turns back on when the brake is depressed) will become available to non-hybrid vehicles as well. Ford has said that on these ‘conventional’ vehicles with petrol drivetrains, city gains of up to 10% have been seen.
