Shelby GT350 details and prices released…

October 8, 2010

We’ve been waiting for this, and Shelby American has rewarded us for our patience by unveiling the true numbers behind their new GT350. And boy, what a beast she will be! Based on any old 2011 Mustang GT, Shelby’s first level of tune to the naturally aspirated engine is a ‘modest’ 320kW (430hp). Next up the model line, Shelby add a Whipple supercharger, helping the engine push out 390kW (525hp) – enough for a blistering 3.7 seconds 0-100km/h time! Oh? Is that not enough? Then the R tune is for you – 465kW (624hp) – enough to help you jettison planet earth!

Review: 2010 Shebly Super Snake – a hypercar in Mustang clothes…

September 10, 2009

This is totally epic! That’s seriously all I can say!

Source: Autoblog

In just under ten months, this blogger has gone from not having been inside a Mustang in 13 years (and a used one at that), to driving, in this order, a 2010 Mustang GT, a Mustang GT with the Track Pack, a Shelby GT500 Mustang and a Roush 427R. That sequence also defines our order of favorites; every successive steed has made us say “We have a new favorite!” In Monterey, we were handed the keys to the brand new 750-horsepower Shelby GT500 Super Snake, and when we gave them back we not only said: “We have a new favorite,” we declared “All hail, we have a new king!”

2010 Ford Mustang prices announced…

February 20, 2009

The new-for-2010 Mustang is THE coolest ‘pony’ car – I’m sure everyone would agree. So, what will the coolest pony car on the earth gonna cost you? Being based in Australia, it would easily cost me $AUD150,000+! (For the RHD conversion). Very sad indeed. But, if I was in America, what would it cost me then? Gladly to say, a hell of a lot less! The 2010 Ford Mustang starts from a amazingly low $USD21,000 ($AUD33,000)!
