We have grown to love the SVT Raptor trim F-150, and Ford has gone one step further by adding a SuperCrew version – you know, to let the wife and kids join in on the fun too. In conjunction with the scrapping of the ancient 5.4L V8, Ford has added new bonnet decals to boot, oh, and has added Ignot Silver Metallic to make 5 delicious colour choices. Internally, Ford have slapped in a 4.2″ “Productivity Screen” in the instrument panel a la the 2011 Super Duty.
Ford Performance Vehicles has announced its all-new replacement for the long-serving 5.4 litre Boss V8 is the supercharged 5.0 litre “Miami” V8. Based on the Coyote V8 used in the current-generation Ford Mustang, the Miami will be available in two guises in FPV’s model range. Mild and Wild!
Following a quick reveal of the Harley Davidson model for 2011, Ford has announced the complete engine line-up for the 2011 model F-150. Four engine options are the go with two V6’s and V8’s helping the F-150 become a class leader in power and towing, whilst still gain well and truly above average MPG.
Currently, you have a selection of, technically speaking, ancient engine options when you go to order your F-150. But, to bring the F-150 inline with Fords’ ‘One Ford’ policy, the 2011 update is getting a whole new smorgasbord of engine choices.
We reported to you recently that the new 3.7 litre V6 Mustang is the most fuel efficient 300hp + car. Well Ford’s continuing on it’s fast but frugal roll with the release of official EPA figures on the new 5.0 ‘Coyote’ powered 2011 Mustang GT.
