Detroit 2010: Ford clean sweeps 2010 North American Car and Truck of the Year…

The votes are in and Ford has clean sweeped the competition in the 2010 North American Car and Truck of the Year with it’s Ford Fusion Hybrid and the new versatile Ford Transit Connect. Beating out the shortlisted Buick LaCrosse & Volkswagen Golf, the Fusion Hybrid is Ford’s 9th North American Car of the Year, whilst the Transit Connect (shortlisted with the Chevrolet Equinox &  Subaru Outback) is Ford’s 11th victory in the North American Truck of the year. Ford Transit Connect is greener than thought…

Seems like this is happening with every new Ford. First it was the Fusion Hybrid. Now it’s the Transit Connect. You may be wondering what I’m on about? Well, as with the Fusion, the Ford Transit Connect has exceeded Ford’s own testing in its EPA fuel efficiency test. Official figures? 22/25 (city/hwy) or about (combined) 10l/100km.
